Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Insurance, Real Estate and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Strauss Group (TA:STRS), which rose 1.98% or 107 points to trade at 5517 at the close. Avner L (TA:AVNRp) added 1.34% or 3.0 points to end at 226.3 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) was up 1.00% or 140 points to 14100 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL), which lost 2.84% or 60 points to trade at 2050 in late trade. Frutarom (TA:FRUT) declined 1.39% or 210 points to end at 14850 and Melisron (TA:MLSR) shed 1.05% or 150 points to 14150.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 164 to 158 and 123 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.83% or 0.91 to $48.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.16% or 0.61 to hit $52.30 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.42% or 4.80 to trade at $1160.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.14% to 3.8336, while EUR/ILS rose 0.28% to 4.3606.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.15% at 94.79.
