Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Banking and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Melisron (TA:MLSR), which rose 4.07% or 560 points to trade at 14330 at the close. Frutarom (TA:FRUT) added 3.01% or 460 points to end at 15760 and Osem (TA:OSEM) was up 1.91% or 153 points to 8151 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nice (TA:NICE), which lost 2.32% or 600 points to trade at 25210 in late trade. Strauss Group (TA:STRS) declined 2.22% or 142 points to end at 6255 and International (TA:FTIN) shed 2.17% or 118 points to 5322.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 200 to 141 and 112 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.70% or 0.42 to $60.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.62% or 0.40 to hit $64.27 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 2.13% or 25.10 to trade at $1201.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.07% to 3.8198, while EUR/ILS rose 0.63% to 4.3557.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.48% at 94.03.
