Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Biomed, Insurance and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Bezeq (TA:BEZQ), which rose 2.22% or 15.2 points to trade at 700.0 at the close. Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) added 1.09% or 200 points to end at 18470 and Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) was up 1.06% or 14 points to 1340 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL), which lost 1.99% or 30 points to trade at 1475 in late trade. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) declined 1.80% or 1110 points to end at 60440 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) shed 1.77% or 98 points to 5437.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 178 to 161 and 104 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.23% or 0.11 to $47.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.35% or 0.17 to hit $48.95 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 2.28% or 27.65 to trade at $1183.55 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.40% to 3.8773, while EUR/ILS fell 0.50% to 4.0829.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.84% at 101.94.
