Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Communication sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 6.23% or 220 points to trade at 3750 at the close. Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) added 1.92% or 1400 points to end at 74330 and Avner L (TA:AVNRp) was up 1.72% or 4.2 points to 247.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT), which lost 1.93% or 690 points to trade at 35150 in late trade. Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) declined 1.67% or 79 points to end at 4651 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) shed 1.14% or 18 points to 1559.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 153 to 153 and 133 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.68% or 0.84 to $49.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.68% or 0.85 to hit $49.80 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.59% or 20.60 to trade at $1271.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.14% to 3.8557, while EUR/ILS fell 0.41% to 4.3465.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.30% at 93.96.
