Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 1.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT), which rose 1.81% or 1,340.00 points to trade at 75,420.00 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) added 0.82% or 13.00 points to end at 1,601.00 and Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) was up 0.70% or 32.00 points to 4,588.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Enlight Ene (TASE:ENLT), which lost 3.66% or 229.00 points to trade at 6,025.00 in late trade. Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE) declined 3.57% or 150.00 points to end at 4,050.00 and Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) shed 3.41% or 73.00 points to 2,067.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 243 to 206 and 90 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 3.17% or 2.16 to $70.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 3.01% or 2.16 to hit $73.86 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.79% or 21.00 to trade at $2,680.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 1.01% to 3.75, while EUR/ILS rose 0.54% to 4.16.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 100.92.
