Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Insurance and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 1.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Nice Ltd (TA:NICE), which rose 0.64% or 270 points to trade at 42780 at the close. Gazit Globe Ltd (TA:GZT) added 0.34% or 10 points to end at 2915 and Israel Discount Bank Ltd (TA:DSCT) was up 0.24% or 3.0 points to 1253.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ), which lost 4.96% or 13.6 points to trade at 260.5 in late trade. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) declined 3.96% or 233 points to end at 5650 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) shed 3.92% or 243 points to 5950.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 196 to 184 and 46 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.71% or 0.42 to $58.99 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 0.82% or 0.55 to hit $66.69 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.63% or 21.45 to trade at $1295.45 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.11% to 3.6281, while EUR/ILS fell 0.24% to 4.0735.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.50% at 96.760.
