Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Biomed and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 declined 0.83% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA), which rose 1.64% or 68 points to trade at 4213 at the close. Strauss Group (TA:STRS) added 1.27% or 91 points to end at 7270 and Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA) was up 1.14% or 260.0 points to 23050.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 4.52% or 76 points to trade at 1604 in late trade. Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) declined 4.45% or 2500 points to end at 53700 and Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) shed 3.18% or 31 points to 955.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 232 to 155 and 25 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.45% or 0.25 to $55.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.45% or 0.28 to hit $61.93 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.29% or 3.77 to trade at $1279.13 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.04% to 3.5374, while EUR/ILS rose 0.08% to 4.1747.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 93.73.
