Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Biomed, Insurance and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.82%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Nice Ltd (TA:NICE), which rose 0.93% or 380 points to trade at 41100 at the close. Leumi (TA:LUMI) added 0.50% or 12 points to end at 2396 and Liveperson (TA:LPSN) was up 0.33% or 31 points to 9330 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 6.03% or 91 points to trade at 1419 in late trade. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) declined 3.02% or 260 points to end at 8340 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) shed 2.06% or 166 points to 7885.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 205 to 168 and 44 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.42% or 0.30 to $71.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.22% or 0.18 to hit $81.08 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.56% or 6.70 to trade at $1198.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.08% to 3.5883, while EUR/ILS fell 0.05% to 4.2166.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 93.84.
