Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.72%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA), which rose 3.45% or 930.00 points to trade at 27,890.00 at the close. NICE Ltd (TASE:NICE) added 2.80% or 1,810.00 points to end at 66,510.00 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) was up 1.91% or 31.00 points to 1,651.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nova (TASE:NVMI), which lost 7.72% or 6,660.00 points to trade at 79,600.00 in late trade. Camtek Ltd (TASE:CAMT) declined 7.36% or 3,440.00 points to end at 43,280.00 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) shed 3.44% or 216.00 points to 6,065.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 230 to 224 and 85 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.84% or 1.47 to $81.18 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.45% or 1.21 to hit $84.94 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 2.95 to trade at $2,470.75 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.54% to 3.64, while EUR/ILS rose 0.92% to 3.98.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.45% at 103.49.
