Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Communication, Insurance and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which rose 1.50% or 240 points to trade at 16250 at the close. Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) added 1.08% or 70 points to end at 6570 and Azrieli Group Ltd (TA:AZRG) was up 0.59% or 110 points to 18610 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ), which lost 3.28% or 11.7 points to trade at 345.0 in late trade. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 2.43% or 33 points to end at 1324 and Liveperson (TA:LPSN) shed 1.63% or 120 points to 7245.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 235 to 158 and 30 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.38% or 0.20 to $52.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.28% or 0.17 to hit $61.27 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 1.15 to trade at $1290.85 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.06% to 3.6684, while EUR/ILS fell 0.12% to 4.2260.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 94.942.
