Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Biomed, Insurance and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Perrigo (TASE:PRGO), which rose 1.64% or 260 points to trade at 16160 at the close. Amot Investments Ltd (TASE:AMOT) added 1.46% or 34 points to end at 2355 and Melisron (TASE:MLSR) was up 0.80% or 150 points to 19000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT), which lost 3.12% or 1750 points to trade at 54310 in late trade. OPKO Health Inc (TASE:OPK) declined 2.52% or 19 points to end at 723 and Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM) shed 2.30% or 128 points to 5438.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 243 to 144 and 28 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.38% or 0.22 to $58.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.50% or 0.32 to hit $64.50 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.10% or 15.65 to trade at $1433.85 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.09% to 3.5939, while EUR/ILS fell 0.19% to 4.0922.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 95.518.
