Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Communication sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.30% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM), which rose 4.50% or 510 points to trade at 11850 at the close. Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) added 3.24% or 1750 points to end at 55800 and Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) was up 2.44% or 690 points to 28930 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mylan NV (TA:MYL), which lost 2.75% or 360 points to trade at 12740 in late trade. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 2.43% or 57 points to end at 2289 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) shed 2.29% or 95 points to 4060.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 217 to 180 and 14 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.87% or 0.50 to $56.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.52% or 0.33 to hit $63.36 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.69% or 8.77 to trade at $1284.57 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.13% to 3.5116, while EUR/ILS fell 0.13% to 4.0675.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 94.84.
