Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Insurance, Oil & Gas and Biomed sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ), which rose 2.01% or 9.2 points to trade at 466.2 at the close. Leumi (TA:LUMI) added 1.29% or 31 points to end at 2430 and Shufersal (TA:SAE) was up 1.06% or 27 points to 2580 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Liveperson (TA:LPSN), which lost 4.38% or 331 points to trade at 7230 in late trade. Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TA:TSEM) declined 2.53% or 137 points to end at 5270 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) shed 1.87% or 155 points to 8140.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 209 to 161 and 49 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.04% or 0.02 to $56.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.81% or 0.54 to hit $66.22 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 2.50 to trade at $1223.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.05% to 3.7028, while EUR/ILS rose 0.34% to 4.2412.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 96.05.
