Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Biomed, Communication and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE), which rose 3.21% or 151.00 points to trade at 4,851.00 at the close. Harel (TASE:HARL) added 2.82% or 124.00 points to end at 4,514.00 and Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) was up 2.35% or 168.00 points to 7,330.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nova (TASE:NVMI), which lost 3.47% or 2,420.00 points to trade at 67,390.00 in late trade. Camtek Ltd (TASE:CAMT) declined 2.86% or 790.00 points to end at 26,810.00 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) shed 2.48% or 45.00 points to 1,768.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 261 to 196 and 81 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.55% or 0.38 to $68.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.55% or 0.40 to hit $72.71 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.44% or 11.90 to trade at $2,664.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.52% to 3.60, while EUR/ILS unchanged 0.06% to 3.80.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 105.83.
