Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 fell 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Azrieli Group Ltd (TA:AZRG), which rose 3.37% or 610 points to trade at 18710 at the close. Leumi (TA:LUMI) added 3.26% or 64 points to end at 2026 and First International Bank of Israel Ltd (TA:FTIN) was up 2.82% or 200 points to 7280 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 3.87% or 69 points to trade at 1716 in late trade. Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) declined 3.72% or 6.3 points to end at 163.2 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) shed 2.74% or 179 points to 6361.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 232 to 165 and 29 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.28% or 0.16 to $57.38 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.30% or 0.19 to hit $63.60 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.09% or 1.20 to trade at $1264.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.07% to 3.5035, while EUR/ILS rose 0.18% to 4.1383.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 93.25.
