Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Insurance, Banking and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 1.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Leumi (TA:LUMI), which rose 2.58% or 43 points to trade at 1710 at the close. Melisron (TA:MLSR) added 2.57% or 500 points to end at 19980 and Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) was up 2.53% or 1070 points to 43420 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ), which lost 1.10% or 7.0 points to trade at 630.0 in late trade. Perrigo (TA:PRGO) declined 0.41% or 100 points to end at 24170 and Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) shed 0.08% or 3 points to 3714.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 277 to 125 and 40 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.67% or 0.33 to $49.29 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.48% or 0.25 to hit $52.19 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 1.16% or 14.99 to trade at $1274.11 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.71% to 3.6538, while EUR/ILS rose 0.82% to 3.9688.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.69% at 98.97.
