Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Communication and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.43%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT), which rose 2.16% or 520 points to trade at 24620 at the close. Partner (TA:PTNR) added 2.14% or 38 points to end at 1813 and Azrieli Group Ltd (TA:AZRG) was up 2.05% or 400 points to 19880 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ), which lost 1.72% or 10.0 points to trade at 572.0 in late trade. Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) declined 1.07% or 1.7 points to end at 157.3 and Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp) shed 0.74% or 0.4 points to 53.6.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 228 to 172 and 16 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.53% or 0.24 to $45.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $47.53 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.65% or 7.85 to trade at $1222.55 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.68% to 3.5404, while EUR/ILS fell 1.09% to 4.0431.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 95.54.
