Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Banking, Biomed and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA), which rose 4.20% or 790.0 points to trade at 19600.0 at the close. Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL) added 2.71% or 4.4 points to end at 166.5 and Perrigo (TA:PRGO) was up 1.92% or 480 points to 25480 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Isramco Negev 2 LP (TA:ISRAp), which lost 3.99% or 2.2 points to trade at 53.0 in late trade. Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) declined 1.56% or 21 points to end at 1329 and Partner (TA:PTNR) shed 1.47% or 28 points to 1878.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 218 to 169 and 113 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 3.34% or 1.55 to $44.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 3.26% or 1.59 to hit $47.13 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.89% or 11.23 to trade at $1279.83 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.42% to 3.5132, while EUR/ILS rose 0.17% to 3.9617.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.57% at 96.42.
