Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Sunday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 1.82% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which rose 22.02% or 14310 points to trade at 79300 at the close. Teva (TA:TEVA) added 3.78% or 960 points to end at 26360 and Kenon Holdings Ltd (TA:KEN) was up 1.49% or 119.00 points to 8112.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Strauss Group (TA:STRS), which lost 2.97% or 190 points to trade at 6213 in late trade. Frutarom (TA:FRUT) declined 2.62% or 410 points to end at 15260 and Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) shed 2.29% or 118 points to 5032.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 183 to 158 and 116 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.79% or 0.91 to $51.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $58.95 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.16% or 13.80 to trade at $1207.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.74% to 3.9875, while EUR/ILS rose 0.20% to 4.2280.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.38% at 99.63.
