Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Sunday, as gains in the Biomed, Technology and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 added 1.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which rose 2.70% or 450 points to trade at 17120 at the close. Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) added 2.48% or 1960 points to end at 80850 and Frutarom (TA:FRUT) was up 2.42% or 440 points to 18590 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL), which lost 0.47% or 7 points to trade at 1490 in late trade. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 0.44% or 17 points to end at 3858 and Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF) gained 0.82% or 37 points to 4567.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 241 to 84 and 112 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.04% or 0.02 to $45.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.34% or 0.16 to hit $46.56 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.40% or 5.45 to trade at $1367.55 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.04% to 3.8828, while EUR/ILS fell 0.13% to 4.2911.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.02% at 96.31.
