Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 1.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Newmed Energy LP (TASE:NWMDp), which rose 5.13% or 44.70 points to trade at 915.50 at the close. Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG) added 3.43% or 1,340.00 points to end at 40,360.00 and Camtek Ltd (TASE:CAMT) was up 3.21% or 1,370.00 points to 44,100.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Amot Investments Ltd (TASE:AMOT), which lost 1.41% or 22.00 points to trade at 1,533.00 in late trade. Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) declined 0.61% or 410.00 points to end at 66,890.00 and Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) shed 0.27% or 13.00 points to 4,811.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 274 to 169 and 96 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.20% or 0.16 to $80.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $84.22 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.95% or 22.15 to trade at $2,308.65 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.41% to 3.75, while EUR/ILS unchanged 0.12% to 4.01.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 105.68.
