Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Communication, Real Estate and Biomed sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 1.01% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 19.25% or 1,146.00 points to trade at 7,100.00 at the close. Nova (TASE:NVMI) added 3.61% or 2,470.00 points to end at 70,820.00 and Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG) was up 2.30% or 152.00 points to 6,748.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA), which lost 2.14% or 570.00 points to trade at 26,060.00 in late trade. Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) declined 1.97% or 91.00 points to end at 4,524.00 and Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG) shed 1.68% or 790.00 points to 46,230.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 264 to 186 and 87 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 2.57% or 1.82 to $68.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.87% or 1.38 to hit $72.53 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.58% or 15.54 to trade at $2,654.46 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.30% to 3.59, while EUR/ILS rose 0.22% to 3.77.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 106.61.
