Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Insurance, Communication and Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.87% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which rose 2.45% or 430 points to trade at 18000 at the close. Azrieli Group Ltd (TA:AZRG) added 2.34% or 470 points to end at 20530 and Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TA:PHOE1) was up 1.85% or 39 points to 2146 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Shufersal (TA:SAE), which lost 0.80% or 21 points to trade at 2606 in late trade. Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) declined 0.29% or 60 points to end at 20940 and Poalim (TA:POLI) shed 0.16% or 4 points to 2478.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 261 to 126 and 32 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 3.74% or 2.14 to $55.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 3.61% or 2.43 to hit $64.82 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 3.15 to trade at $1329.65 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.03% to 3.6085, while EUR/ILS rose 0.04% to 4.0938.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 96.410.
