Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Communication, Insurance and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.77%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Harel (TA:HARL), which rose 3.46% or 86 points to trade at 2570 at the close. Perrigo (TA:PRGO) added 2.60% or 450 points to end at 17780 and Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TA:ALHE) was up 2.59% or 107 points to 4240 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bazan Oil Refineries Ltd (TA:ORL), which lost 1.90% or 3.4 points to trade at 175.9 in late trade. Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) declined 1.52% or 820 points to end at 53300 and Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) shed 0.92% or 780 points to 83870.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 246 to 139 and 42 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 2.05% or 1.23 to $61.37 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.95% or 1.32 to hit $68.90 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.35% or 4.50 to trade at $1294.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.29% to 3.6218, while EUR/ILS fell 0.27% to 4.0606.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 96.863.
