Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Insurance and Biomed sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.66%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 2.79% or 171.00 points to trade at 6,302.00 at the close. Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) added 2.37% or 620.00 points to end at 26,750.00 and Nova (TASE:NVMI) was up 2.30% or 2,020.00 points to 89,920.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:TSEM), which lost 1.20% or 180.00 points to trade at 14,810.00 in late trade. Amot Investments Ltd (TASE:AMOT) declined 1.10% or 16.00 points to end at 1,440.00 and Energix (TASE:ENRG) shed 1.06% or 14.00 points to 1,303.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 241 to 190 and 108 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.11% or 0.09 to $82.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.10% or 0.09 to hit $86.15 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.75% or 40.75 to trade at $2,374.15 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was unchanged 0.01% to 3.77, while EUR/ILS rose 0.56% to 4.07.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.56% at 104.82.
