Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Biomed, Insurance and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA), which rose 4.44% or 850 points to trade at 19980 at the close. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) added 3.78% or 84 points to end at 2304 and Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) was up 2.74% or 1660 points to 62230 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 7.76% or 103 points to trade at 1225 in late trade. Gazit Globe Ltd (TA:GZT) declined 1.39% or 46 points to end at 3269 and Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TA:ALHE) shed 1.26% or 48 points to 3776.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 241 to 158 and 28 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.36% or 0.27 to $75.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.27% or 0.23 to hit $84.75 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.65% or 19.70 to trade at $1211.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.41% to 3.6520, while EUR/ILS rose 0.23% to 4.2206.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 95.08.
