Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Biomed, Insurance and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Harel (TA:HARL), which rose 3.49% or 85 points to trade at 2519 at the close. Elbit Systems Ltd (TA:ESLT) added 3.21% or 1480 points to end at 47600 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) was up 2.86% or 160 points to 5760 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bezeq Israeli Telecommunication Corp Ltd (TA:BEZQ), which lost 2.30% or 12.2 points to trade at 517.4 in late trade. Amot Investments Ltd (TA:AMOT) declined 2.25% or 46 points to end at 2000 and Leumi (TA:LUMI) shed 1.06% or 21 points to 1960.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 198 to 189 and 27 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.59% or 0.34 to $57.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.67% or 1.06 to hit $64.46 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.09% or 1.10 to trade at $1249.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.03% to 3.5257, while EUR/ILS rose 0.27% to 4.1611.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 93.73.
