Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Biomed, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT), which rose 4.21% or 4,210.00 points to trade at 104,210.00 at the close. Newmed Energy LP (TASE:NWMDp) added 3.75% or 44.00 points to end at 1,217.00 and Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG) was up 1.97% or 117.00 points to 6,060.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sapiens International Corporation NV (TASE:SPNS), which lost 1.22% or 115.00 points to trade at 9,313.00 in late trade. Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) declined 1.09% or 52.00 points to end at 4,728.00 and NICE Ltd (TASE:NICE) shed 1.05% or 640.00 points to 60,460.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 248 to 220 and 68 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.04% or 0.76 to $74.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.05% or 0.80 to hit $76.96 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.64% or 17.16 to trade at $2,689.56 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.15% to 3.66, while EUR/ILS unchanged 0.03% to 3.77.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 109.00.
