Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Biomed, Insurance and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Liveperson (TA:LPSN), which rose 5.91% or 459 points to trade at 8227 at the close. Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TA:ALHE) added 4.67% or 168 points to end at 3768 and Harel (TA:HARL) was up 3.05% or 71 points to 2401 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which lost 1.26% or 210 points to trade at 16430 in late trade. Elbit Systems Ltd (TA:ESLT) declined 1.07% or 490 points to end at 45190 and OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) shed 0.88% or 12 points to 1349.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 232 to 150 and 33 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.10% or 0.05 to $52.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.56% or 0.34 to hit $60.80 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.21% or 2.65 to trade at $1281.35 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.03% to 3.6738, while EUR/ILS fell 0.22% to 4.1705.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 95.985.
