Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Biomed, Communication and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 rose 0.31% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Israel Corp (TASE:ILCO), which rose 5.24% or 4,760.00 points to trade at 95,530.00 at the close. Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) added 4.55% or 312.00 points to end at 7,162.00 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) was up 4.26% or 74.00 points to 1,813.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Enlight Ene (TASE:ENLT), which lost 2.19% or 129.00 points to trade at 5,771.00 in late trade. Ormat Technologies (TASE:ORA) declined 2.18% or 640.00 points to end at 28,700.00 and Shapir Engineering Industry (TASE:SPEN) shed 1.97% or 56.00 points to 2,785.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 257 to 205 and 76 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.03% or 0.02 to $69.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $73.59 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 11.94 to trade at $2,679.84 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was unchanged 0.04% to 3.62, while EUR/ILS rose 0.26% to 3.81.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 106.22.
