Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Communication, Real Estate and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 35 were Sodastream International Ltd (TA:SODA), which rose 5.25% or 1660.0 points to trade at 33280.0 at the close. Partner (TA:PTNR) added 3.60% or 62 points to end at 1783 and Frutarom Industries Ltd (TA:FRUT) was up 2.86% or 940 points to 33800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which lost 4.58% or 56 points to trade at 1166 in late trade. Elbit Systems Ltd (TA:ESLT) declined 1.91% or 900 points to end at 46200 and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TA:TEVA) shed 1.57% or 98 points to 6146.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 211 to 170 and 42 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 2.58% or 1.60 to $63.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 2.41% or 1.59 to hit $67.64 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.42% or 5.50 to trade at $1312.30 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.15% to 3.4783, while EUR/ILS fell 0.38% to 4.2675.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 89.83.
