Investing.com – Indonesia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Industry, Consumer Industry and Property sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite added 0.27% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Jakarta Stock Exchange Composite were Citra Putra Realty Tbk PT (JK:CLAY), which unchanged 0.00% or 0 points to trade at 476 at the close. Onix Capital Tbk (JK:OCAP) added 24.53% or 52 points to end at 264 and Multipolar Technology Tbk (JK:MLPT) was up 21.18% or 180 points to 1030 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Renuka Coalindo Tbk (JK:SQMI), which lost 24.79% or 118 points to trade at 358 in late trade. Indo Komoditi Korpora Tbk PT (JK:INCF) declined 19.51% or 64 points to end at 264 and Minna Padi Investama Tbk (JK:PADI) shed 17.39% or 160 points to 760.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 231 to 196 and 118 ended unchanged on the Jakarta Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 1.30% or 0.70 to $53.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.31% or 0.82 to hit $61.92 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 1.25 to trade at $1283.85 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.04% to 14215.0, while AUD/IDR fell 0.52% to 10126.06.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 95.993.
