Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as in the sectors propelled shares .
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite unchanged 0.00%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which rose 7.28% or 0.011 points to trade at 0.162 at the close. Iaso (AT:IASr) added 6.73% or 0.070 points to end at 1.110 and Halcor (AT:XAKO) was up 6.42% or 0.051 points to 0.845 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which lost 4.41% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.260 in late trade. Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) declined 3.26% or 0.1500 points to end at 4.4500 and Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) shed 2.86% or 0.040 points to 1.360.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 92 to 23 and 13 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.16% or 1.89 to $1221.09 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 3.57% or 1.68 to hit $45.39 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 2.98% or 1.48 to trade at $48.13 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.15% to 1.1332, while EUR/GBP fell 0.07% to 0.8776.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 96.13.
