Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Media, Banking and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 9.55% or 0.0150 points to trade at 0.1720 at the close. Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) added 6.06% or 0.010 points to end at 0.175 and Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) was up 3.87% or 0.070 points to 1.880 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr), which lost 6.59% or 0.2900 points to trade at 4.1100 in late trade. Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) declined 4.21% or 0.008 points to end at 0.182 and Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) shed 3.56% or 0.020 points to 0.542.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 58 to 47 and 17 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.18% or 2.29 to $1266.49 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.34% or 1.16 to hit $48.46 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 2.27% or 1.19 to trade at $51.22 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.34% to 1.0867, while EUR/GBP fell 0.75% to 0.8425.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 99.07.
