Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 8.92% or 0.0140 points to trade at 0.1710 at the close. FHL I Kiriakidis Marbles and Granites SA (AT:KRKr) added 7.28% or 0.230 points to end at 3.400 and Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr) was up 6.40% or 0.021 points to 0.349 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bank of Cyprus PCL (AT:BOCr), which lost 3.45% or 0.005 points to trade at 0.140 in late trade. Euro Reliance (AT:EREr) declined 3.03% or 0.060 points to end at 1.920 and Iaso (AT:IASr) shed 2.27% or 0.009 points to 0.387.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 59 to 40 and 15 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for February delivery was up 0.87% or 9.90 to $1150.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.28% or 0.15 to hit $53.91 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.16% or 0.09 to trade at $57.05 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.57% to 1.0474, while EUR/GBP rose 0.53% to 0.8567.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.42% at 102.81.
