Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 1.85% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Piraeus Port (AT:OLPr), which rose 2.59% or 0.75 points to trade at 29.70 at the close. Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr) added 1.16% or 0.02 points to end at 1.91 and BriQ Properties REIC (AT:BRIQr) was up 1.00% or 0.02 points to 2.02 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr), which lost 7.53% or 0.22 points to trade at 2.70 in late trade. Lavipharm SA (AT:LPHr) declined 6.49% or 0.05 points to end at 0.72 and Quality and Reliability SA (AT:QUAr) shed 5.84% or 0.06 points to 1.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 115 to 11 and 9 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.48% or 12.50 to $2,627.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.14% or 0.10 to hit $69.07 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.11% or 0.08 to trade at $73.22 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 106.15.
