Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Retail, Basic Resources and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 1.82%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were K.L.M. (AT:KLUr), which rose 2.56% or 0.018 points to trade at 0.722 at the close. Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr) added 2.48% or 0.150 points to end at 6.200 and Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) was up 2.19% or 0.030 points to 1.400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Intracom Hold (AT:INRr), which lost 5.55% or 0.038 points to trade at 0.647 in late trade. Mytilineos Holdings SA (AT:MYTr) declined 3.55% or 0.330 points to end at 8.970 and Public Power (AT:DEHr) shed 3.06% or 0.06 points to 1.90.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 68 to 37 and 14 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.18% or 2.30 to $1305.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.21% or 0.14 to hit $65.88 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.25% or 0.19 to trade at $76.27 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.32% to 1.1808, while EUR/GBP rose 0.50% to 0.8822.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 93.45.
