Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 1.67%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr), which rose 3.78% or 0.21 points to trade at 5.76 at the close. Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr) added 1.89% or 0.25 points to end at 13.45 and Thessaloniki Water and Sewage Co SA (AT:TWSr) was up 1.27% or 0.04 points to 3.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Public Power (AT:DEHr), which lost 4.09% or 0.50 points to trade at 11.72 in late trade. Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) declined 3.87% or 0.15 points to end at 3.73 and Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) shed 3.80% or 0.22 points to 5.57.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 104 to 20 and 14 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.67% or 18.35 to $2,757.25 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.88% or 1.32 to hit $71.36 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.67% or 1.24 to trade at $75.53 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.03% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 103.83.
