Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Retail, Travel and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 1.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr), which rose 7.46% or 0.5000 points to trade at 7.2000 at the close. Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) added 5.87% or 0.2600 points to end at 4.6900 and Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) was up 3.50% or 0.050 points to 1.480 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Folli Follie (AT:HDFr), which lost 29.98% or 3.22 points to trade at 7.52 in late trade. Public Power (AT:DEHr) declined 10.16% or 0.26 points to end at 2.30 and Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) shed 8.26% or 0.027 points to 0.300.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 74 to 35 and 21 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.06% or 0.80 to $1315.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.12% or 0.78 to hit $70.50 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.58% or 1.18 to trade at $76.05 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.29% to 1.1926, while EUR/GBP fell 0.63% to 0.8785.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 92.58.
