Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Telecoms and Household sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 1.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr), which rose 1.44% or 0.46 points to trade at 32.36 at the close. Athens International Airport SA (AT:AIAr) added 0.13% or 0.01 points to end at 7.60 and Terna Energy SA (AT:TENr) was up 0.05% or 0.01 points to 19.51 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which lost 4.86% or 0.02 points to trade at 0.33 in late trade. Lavipharm SA (AT:LPHr) declined 3.79% or 0.03 points to end at 0.79 and Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr) shed 3.65% or 0.40 points to 10.57.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 106 to 19 and 19 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.61% or 16.40 to $2,673.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.09% or 1.46 to hit $71.29 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.94% or 1.43 to trade at $74.99 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 101.37.
