Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.88% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr), which rose 3.72% or 0.50 points to trade at 13.95 at the close. Intrakat Technikon Kai Energeiakon Ergon AE (AT:INCr) added 3.72% or 0.18 points to end at 5.02 and Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr) was up 3.09% or 0.08 points to 2.67 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cenergy Holdings SA (AT:CENEr), which lost 3.72% or 0.33 points to trade at 8.55 in late trade. Quality and Reliability SA (AT:QUAr) declined 3.67% or 0.04 points to end at 1.05 and Biokarpet Industrial and Commercial Enterprises SA (AT:ALBr) shed 3.63% or 0.07 points to 1.73.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 93 to 41 and 11 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.09% or 2.40 to $2,751.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.15% or 0.81 to hit $71.00 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.13% or 0.84 to trade at $75.22 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 103.89.
