Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.84%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr), which rose 4.08% or 0.2000 points to trade at 5.1000 at the close. Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) added 2.83% or 0.0600 points to end at 2.1800 and Select Textile (AT:EPIr) was up 2.45% or 0.004 points to 0.178 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr), which lost 6.78% or 0.410 points to trade at 5.640 in late trade. Creta Plastics (AT:PLAKR) declined 4.17% or 0.250 points to end at 5.750 and Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) shed 4.07% or 0.0070 points to 0.1650.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 65 to 33 and 15 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.84% or 10.77 to $1276.73 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $57.16 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.19% or 0.12 to trade at $64.05 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.09% to 1.1653, while EUR/GBP fell 0.37% to 0.8823.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 94.34.
