Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr), which rose 1.80% or 0.58 points to trade at 32.76 at the close. Petros Petropoulos SA (AT:PTRr) added 1.77% or 0.14 points to end at 8.06 and Quality and Reliability SA (AT:QUAr) was up 1.32% or 0.02 points to 1.23 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr), which lost 3.73% or 0.12 points to trade at 3.10 in late trade. Interlife General Insurance Company SA (AT:INLIFr) declined 3.07% or 0.14 points to end at 4.42 and Titan Cement International SA (AT:TITCr) shed 2.58% or 0.90 points to 34.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 91 to 33 and 18 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.10% or 2.80 to $2,665.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.26% or 1.68 to hit $76.06 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 2.09% or 1.63 to trade at $79.68 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.36% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 102.26.
