Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.56%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr), which rose 2.03% or 0.68 points to trade at 34.10 at the close. Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr) added 1.80% or 0.06 points to end at 3.40 and Cars Motorcycles and Marine Engine Trade and Import Company SA (AT:MTDr) was up 1.31% or 0.04 points to 2.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr), which lost 2.17% or 0.48 points to trade at 21.64 in late trade. Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr) declined 2.12% or 0.24 points to end at 11.10 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) shed 2.11% or 0.08 points to 3.90.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 77 to 36 and 21 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.16% or 4.10 to $2,536.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.13% or 2.15 to hit $66.56 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 2.83% or 2.03 to trade at $69.81 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.14% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 101.70.
