Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Banking and Household sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.37% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Domiki Kritis SA (AT:DKRr), which rose 5.49% or 0.15 points to trade at 2.88 at the close. Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) added 5.12% or 0.26 points to end at 5.34 and Aegean Airlines (AT:AGNr) was up 1.89% or 0.19 points to 10.22 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cenergy Holdings SA (AT:CENEr), which lost 2.78% or 0.26 points to trade at 9.10 in late trade. National Bank of Greece SA (AT:NBGr) declined 2.47% or 0.18 points to end at 7.27 and Public Power (AT:DEHr) shed 2.06% or 0.24 points to 11.40.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 60 to 60 and 19 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.42% or 11.20 to $2,665.10 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.35% or 1.02 to hit $74.54 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.34% or 1.06 to trade at $77.98 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.21% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 102.98.
