Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr), which rose 6.17% or 0.11 points to trade at 1.82 at the close. Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR) added 4.93% or 0.70 points to end at 14.90 and Intracom Holdings SA (AT:INRr) was up 2.22% or 0.07 points to 2.99 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Intralot (AT:INLr), which lost 2.73% or 0.03 points to trade at 1.07 in late trade. Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) declined 2.43% or 0.05 points to end at 2.01 and Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr) shed 1.88% or 0.14 points to 7.30.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 73 to 50 and 15 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.34% or 9.30 to $2,739.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.25% or 0.86 to hit $69.55 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.05% or 0.77 to trade at $73.83 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 103.63.
