Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr), which rose 2.47% or 0.05 points to trade at 1.91 at the close. HELLENiQ ENERGY Holdings SA (AT:HEPr) added 2.37% or 0.17 points to end at 7.35 and Holding Company ADMIE IPTO SA (AT:ADMr) was up 1.82% or 0.05 points to 2.52 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Thessaloniki Port Authority SA (AT:OLTr), which lost 2.26% or 0.50 points to trade at 21.60 in late trade. Elinoil Hellenic Petroleum Company SA (AT:ELIr) declined 1.94% or 0.04 points to end at 2.02 and Petros Petropoulos SA (AT:PTRr) shed 1.89% or 0.16 points to 8.30.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 61 to 57 and 20 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.08% or 2.09 to $2,673.71 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.19% or 0.85 to hit $70.44 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.54% or 0.40 to trade at $74.09 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.49% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 106.56.
