Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Banking, Telecoms and Household sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Premia AE (AT:PREMr), which rose 6.68% or 0.08 points to trade at 1.27 at the close. Ekter (AT:EKTr) added 4.00% or 0.07 points to end at 1.82 and Lavipharm SA (AT:LPHr) was up 2.71% or 0.02 points to 0.76 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR), which lost 4.76% or 0.70 points to trade at 14.00 in late trade. National Bank of Greece SA (AT:NBGr) declined 3.19% or 0.25 points to end at 7.59 and Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr) shed 2.61% or 0.40 points to 14.95.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $2,633.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.09% or 0.06 to hit $70.10 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 1.24% or 0.90 to trade at $73.22 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.15% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.16% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 108.00.
