Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Telecoms, Household and Basic Resources sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite lost 0.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Gr Sarantis SA (AT:SRSr), which rose 2.94% or 0.32 points to trade at 11.20 at the close. Jumbo SA (AT:BABr) added 1.73% or 0.42 points to end at 24.72 and Cars Motorcycles and Marine Engine Trade and Import Company SA (AT:MTDr) was up 1.50% or 0.04 points to 2.71 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which lost 2.73% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.37 in late trade. Quality and Reliability SA (AT:QUAr) declined 2.22% or 0.03 points to end at 1.14 and Autohellas (AT:AUTr) shed 1.93% or 0.22 points to 11.20.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 74 to 45 and 20 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.20% or 5.10 to $2,538.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.33% or 0.92 to hit $68.23 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.36% or 0.99 to trade at $71.70 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.09% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 100.99.
