Investing.com – Greece equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Healthcare and Food sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite fell 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which rose 8.33% or 0.050 points to trade at 0.650 at the close. ThesKi Port (AT:OLTr) added 2.41% or 0.70 points to end at 29.70 and Piraeus Port (AT:OLPr) was up 1.71% or 0.28 points to 16.68 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr), which lost 4.19% or 0.001 points to trade at 0.030 in late trade. Elton S.A. (AT:ELNr) declined 4.17% or 0.065 points to end at 1.495 and Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) shed 3.98% or 0.0090 points to 0.2150.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 70 to 39 and 16 ended unchanged on the Athens Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 1.00% or 13.30 to $1319.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.66% or 0.42 to hit $63.49 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.36% or 0.24 to trade at $67.05 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.60% to 1.2243, while EUR/GBP fell 0.07% to 0.8814.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.57% at 90.28.
